When the island lights go out, a girl who is afraid of the dark finds the night full of gentle, glowing friends.

Noora loved everything about her island — except when night came and the dark crept in.

One evening, all the island lights went out. “Ooh!” Everything turned inky black.

Noora pulled her blanket up high. “I don't like the dark,” she whispered, trembling.

Then — a tiny glow! A little firefly blinked softly by her window. “Hello. Don't be afraid.”

A friendly house gecko smiled from the wall. “Come and see — the dark isn't scary. I'm Tiki.”

Holding a little candle, Noora tiptoed to the door and peeked outside.

Oh! The whole sky was scattered with a thousand twinkling silver stars.

The sea glowed with soft blue light, and the moon lit a shining path across the sand.

Fireflies danced like tiny lanterns among the palms. The night was quietly beautiful.

“It's… lovely,” breathed Noora, not scared even a little bit any more.

Tiki and the firefly stayed close as she snuggled back into her cosy bed.

Now Noora knows: the dark is just the day, resting — and full of gentle little lights.
